Harry Ramsden’s stunning new look Bournemouth restaurant looks set to claim the title of Biggest Fish and Chip Restaurant in the World.
Following a £1m refurbishment, the restaurant which overlooks Bournemouth’s award winning beaches can now seat an incredible 417 diners…..making it the biggest ever seen!
The main restaurant can now hold 222 diners, with the Café offering seating for 75. And those who prefer to dine al fresco can choose from the 32 seats adjacent to the beach or the stunning outdoor Terrace area which can accommodate 88.
Harry Ramsden’s 125 staff in Bournemouth, including 50 new members of the team, are now gearing up to serve around 1,000,000 customers a year, with over 268 tonnes of chips, 90 tonnes of cod accompanied by 21 tonnes of mushy peas, 10 tonnes of tartare sauce and 8 tonnes of ketchup also expected to be sold annually.
Founded by the eponymous Yorkshire fish and chip operator in 1928, Harry Ramsden’s, world famous for its fish and chips already holds the title of Britain’s longest established restaurant chain.
